ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I feel I’ve been an artist all my life, never deviating from the path I chose in 6th grade when I was encouraged by my art teacher. Many artists/teachers have been a positive influence and I hope I can encourage others to follow their talents and dreams. A favorite quote from Hiroko Salai tells my story: Wherever I wander off to, when I draw, when I paint, I get my life back. I am lucky that I am an artist.
