ABOUT FAMILY VOICES

The mission of Family Voices Indiana is to equip and support families of children and youth with special health care needs and disabilities. It provides families with tools to make informed decisions regarding the care of their children through information sharing, advocacy and partnership and is the state's Family-to-Family Health Information Center (F2F HIC), staffed by family members who have firsthand experience navigating this complex system of health care and programming. FV Indiana provides a conduit by which families learn from one another to ease the complexity of navigating health care supports and services. This leads to families' ability to make more informed choices about health care, resulting in better health outcomes for their children. FV Indiana is the state affiliate of Family Voices, a national nonprofit family-led organization that promotes quality health care for all children and youth, particularly those with special health care needs.
