Mrs. Steenberg is an artist who specializes in creating bold and playful abstract art by using mixed media. When asked about her creative process, Tresa says, "I play, experiment, and freely apply various mediums in layers while working on my art." She uses traditional mediums such as acrylics, pens, pencils, and unexpected materials like book pages, kid's homework, and found paper. Her approach interweaves various mediums to create unpredicted visual intrigue in the artwork and provide insight into the artist's joy. Mrs. Steenberg is an acclaimed artist whose work has been displayed in exhibitions, including the HCAA Midwest Juried Show, The Women's Art Club of Cincinnati Annual Juried Show, the SALI National Abstract Art Juried Show, and the 95th Annual Hoosier Salon Exhibit. She has won many awards, including the President's Choice, Best Abstract and Purchase Award, and the Joan Cord Best of Show Award.
Artist Diane Staver creates image-oriented works with bold colors and flattened forms. Her favorite subject matter is urban environments, finding inspiration in topics like urban display windows, street art, and graffiti, which she incorporates into buildings and objects. Diane credits the Chicago Imagists as a significant influence on her work. Staver utilizes Photoshop to create her conceptual artwork using original photos. She combines photos, then manipulates, merges, adds to, filters, and eliminates areas until the final image emerges. Once satisfied with the result, Ms. Staver uses the completed image as a visual reference for paintings. In some cases, the piece remains as digital art. Staver's work encompasses acrylics, mixed media, and digital art. Ms. Staver has exhibited her work at many galleries across the US, including RE:ARTISTE in NYC, Gallery 9 in Lincoln, NE, Art Museum of Greater Lafayette in IN, Feral Factory Ltd. in Denver, CO, The Harrison Art Center in IN, and Penrod Art Fair in IN. In the last year, Ms. Staver was awarded the Juror Choice award for the show 5:55 at the 2024 Hip Hop Studies Summit, the Best Representation of Shows Theme from Arts Illiana Gallery in Terre Haute, and a Merit Award from the Art Barn in Valparaiso, Indiana.
